China responds harshly to Trump’s threat of 104% total tariffs and promises to “fight till the end.”

Trump went one step farther and called China the “biggest abuser of them all” in terms of trade policies.

But when world financial markets crashed on Sunday, April 6, Beijing replied by slapping a 34 percent counter-tariff on US goods.

Trump responded by urging China to lift the duty by Tuesday, April 8, failing which it will be subject to an extra 50% tax.

The United States would earn a total of 104% from Chinese imports if this were to happen. The East Asian nation is now adamant and has accused the US of “bullying” and “blackmail.”

The US imposing “so-called reciprocal tariffs” on China is “completely groundless and is a typical unilateral bullying practice,” according to a statement released earlier today by China’s Commerce Ministry.

Additionally, it said that as the trade war intensifies, additional counter-tariffs against American products may be forthcoming. China’s countermeasures are intended to preserve.
