A collaborative documentary produced by Channel 4’s Dispatches, The Sunday Times, and The Times, was released in September 2023, the inquiry into Brand got underway.
Several women made shocking accusations against Brand on the show, accusing him of sexual assault, rape, and emotional abuse.
Brand allegedly raped a lady at his house in Los Angeles. Another claimed that Brand, who was in his 30s at the time, sexually abused her when she was only 16 and still enrolled in school.
She characterized the partnership as emotionally manipulative and exploitative. A third woman said that while working with Brand on a professional basis, he assaulted her.
The documentary included therapy notes, medical data, and text messages that supported the women’s testimonies.
