He went on to say that “they deserve action” and accused Republicans of being responsible for the absence of immigration reform.
The disparity in urgency and tone between Van Hollen’s treatment of the two instances has been pointed up by critics.
Despite his public and diplomatic actions on behalf of Abrego Garcia, he only made one written remark about the Morin issue and took no more legislative or diplomatic action.
