Controversy surrounding Imane Khelif’s failed gender eligibility test leads to her quarterfinal victory at the Olympics.

She brings home yet another victory. Another victory for her (Eurosport). According to Eurosport, the Algerian supporters at the north Paris Arena were very supportive of Khelif throughout the whole

fight. Even though the Algerian was docked points for hitting the back of Hamori’s head, she had tremendous power all through the fight.

The International Olympic Committee said in a statement about Khelif’s participation in the games that “every person has the right to practice sport without discrimination,” after the contentious bout earlier this week.

“The Paris 2024 Boxing Unit has established that all athletes competing in the boxing tournament of the Olympic

Games Paris 2024 must adhere to all relevant medical regulations in addition to the competition’s entry and eligibility requirements,” the statement said.
