Defense attorney Anna Estevao challenged Ventura with old text messages and statements suggesting that Ventura sometimes expressed affection and enjoyment.
In one message from 2017, Ventura allegedly wrote:
“Please don’t play victim. That’s all you wanted, and that’s why I was upset. I love our FOs when we both want it.”
Estevao pressed Ventura on whether she and Combs were in love:
“You loved him?”
“I did,” Ventura replied.
“And you believe he loved you?”
“Yes.”
