Days after going missing, “Top Chef” star Naomi Pomeroy, 49, was discovered dead in a river.

When a group of canoeists noticed her corpse, it was eventually found. Officials claim that the paddle board leash prevented her from releasing herself.

Pomeroy was a well-known person in the culinary world of Oregon. She established herself in Portland with the 2007 launch of Beast, her first eatery. She was named one of Food & Wine’s Best New Chefs two years later.

She opened the Expatriate cocktail bar in Portland with her spouse in 2013. She won the James Beard Award for Best Chef: Northwest and Pacific the next year.

Pomeroy was a guest judge on Top Chef in seasons 10, 15, and 18, and she has made appearances on Iron Chef and Top Chef Masters.
