In 2016, Jones gave an interview to the Library of Congress in which he discussed the impact that Thriller left behind in the world of music as well as the labor that went into creating said legacy.
He made the following statement: “If an album does not do well, everyone said that it was the producer’s fault; therefore, if it does well, it should be your ‘fault’ as well.”
It is not as if the rails suddenly materialize out of nowhere. It is necessary for the producer to possess the knowledge, expertise, and capabilities necessary to bring the concept to fruition.
Jones had a very difficult childhood, which resulted in his mother being sent to a mental health facility. Following this, Jones went on to have an extraordinary career as a musician.
