Dedicated to Athena Passidakis: Improving Benton Dog Park

Honoring Athena: Benton Dog Park’s Tradition of Dog Love We are grieving the death of our lovely and cherished daughter, Athena Passidakis, who was abducted and cruelly killed.

On April 3, 2025, when she was only 21 years old. Words cannot express how deeply we are grieving. Kind, humorous, kind, and vibrant, Athena was the epitome of light.

She had an insatiable passion for animals, particularly dogs, and her lovely voice can still be heard conversing with them, grinning, laughing, and illuminating the world whenever we saw one.

When the idea of improving the Benton Dog Park in Redding, California, struck us, we realized right away that this was the perfect way to pay tribute to Athena’s memories. In addition to the dogs.

She fostered or pet-sat, she would always bring our dog here. Athena would ❤️affection❤️ this place, which is full of joyous barks, wagging tails, and the affection of our community.
