Forecasters predict that the country will be covered in snow for more than 57 hours this weekend. This weekend, blizzards of snow are expected to reach portions of the United Kingdom, according to experts at WXCharts.com.
Southern Newcastle and Hull might have received 6 cm of snow by mid-morning on Saturday, while Yorkshire, Cumbria, and Northumberland were struck early.
Gales over 100 km/h are predicted for portions of Norfolk and the east coast of England through Sunday.
The warnings coincide with the Met Office issuing yellow alerts for ice and wind. Separate forecasts from Ventusky and Netweather have alluded to flurries, but the forecasters have not mentioned wintriness this week.
