Horrifying ‘fallen head syndrome’ has been reported as a result of playing games on a smartphone for hours on end.
Japanese medical professionals have described a 25-year-old guy who was unable to raise his head because of a weak neck caused by the practice.
His vertebrae were ‘very stretched’ from the abnormal position, according to the doctors, who explained the bulge that protruded from his neck in shock pictures.
According to the doctors’ case report, the patient sought assistance after experiencing excruciating neck pain for six months and losing the ability to raise his head.
Additionally, he had trouble swallowing, which caused him to consume fewer meals and consequently lose an alarming amount of weight.
Although the anonymous man had been active as a child, doctors saw that this had all changed in his early teens.
