Donald Trump has stated unequivocally if he intends to seek a third term. Let’s begin with the obvious, which is that no president of the United States is allowed to serve that many terms in office.
However, when Trump earlier stated that he was “not joking” about being the one to change that with his corporation selling “Trump 2028” hats, no one was overly shocked.
Even his former adviser, Steve Bannon, stated that the team was weighing “many different alternatives” in order to have the 78-year-old serve a third term in the White House.
Trump later stated that his remarks were intended to mock the “fake news media,” and his most recent interview has provided additional details.
He issued a mild military threat against Greenland in an interview with Kristen Welker for NBC’s Meet the Press that aired on Sunday, May 4.
In a pre-recorded interview at his Florida home, Trump stated that he has had numerous “requests” for him to look into finding a means of remaining in office.
