Donald Trump Disrupts the Silence of X with Campaign Ads One Year After Mug Shot

Donald Trump, the former president of the United States, has resumed his presence on the social media platform that previously banned him.

He has broken his year-long seclusion on X to release new campaign videos and to promote his forthcoming major interview.

Not only does the two-and-a-half-minute advertisement that was posted on Monday morning serve to promote Trump’s campaign, but the timing of his use of X after such a lengthy absence is difficult to ignore.

There is no coincidence that Elon Musk, the proprietor of X, will be interrogating Trump on a live stream on Monday evening. The stream will be hosted on Trump’s X page.

Trump has not posted on X since August 2023, when he proudly uploaded his Georgia mug photo and wrote, “Never surrender,

” raising millions for his campaign. He typically reserves his social posts for his own platform, Truth Social, or TikTok. Are you in a stronger position today than you were during my tenure as president?
