Due to his injuries, the Delta Airlines employee who was killed in the explosion of a tire had to be recognized by his tattoos.

 

 

Two employees were declared dead at the site despite their quick actions, while a third was taken to a local hospital with “major injuries,” according to The Guardian.

According to Andre Coleman, his family named 58-year-old Mirko Marweg as one of the two employees that perished, as reported by the New York Post.

“I didn’t think it was real, so I wanted to see the corpse. My mother didn’t either, Coleman said to 11Alive News.

The Clayton County Medical Examiner, however, cautioned against examining Marweg’s corpse because of the degree of the blast-related injuries, rendering it “unrecognizable.”
