During a home invasion attempt, a 9-year-old calls 911 and asks for assistance.

 

“Please help me. Downstairs, I hear them conversing. I’m not really sure what’s happening. The small girl seemed to speak to her family later in the conversation,

Asking them, “Are you done? ” They seemed to go back upstairs. I called the cops. When one of the voices was recognized as that of the girl’s sister,

The dispatcher reported that cops were in route and that the sister was chatting with her partner. The dispatcher complimented the nine-year-old, saying, “Good job, OK?” before hanging up.

Officers spotted Diaz in the backyard of a neighboring residence “within three minutes of the initial call,” according to the Westminster Police Department.

Diaz was taken into custody for breaking into a house. Police praised the little girl’s conduct in the announcement, pointing out that she “reminded calm.”
