The star of White Christmas, Anne Whitfield, departed from this life. Her age was 85 years old. The veteran actress’s grieving family claims that she died in a “unexpected accident”

while out on a walk near her Washington, D.C., home. Whitfield played Susan Waverly in the beloved holiday picture White Christmas,

released in 1954. She died away at Valley Memorial Hospital in Yakima, Washington. She and her family were present.

They stated that Anne Langham Whitfield Phillips lived a lovely life, making the most of each day to enhance the world and those in her immediate vicinity.

“Because of the kindness of our neighbors who provided expert medical support, the family was able to say goodbye and express their love and gratitude—a gift we will always cherish.”
