“This past December during the holidays on the movie’s 70th anniversary, Annie was able to watch White Christmas with her family,” according to Whitfield’s obituary.
“Annie was a talented performer, but in the 1970s, she relocated “up north” from Hollywood to start again since there weren’t enough trees in Los Angeles. “Annie became dedicated to causes that promote peace and protect nature” during this time of change.
Annie worked very hard as an activist and community organizer when she “retired,” and she did so right up to the end of her life.
The three children and seven grandchildren Annie had were the most important elements of her life. “Her family was her first priority and they loved her dearly.”
