Its implementer, Danish firm Femern A/S, spokesperson Denise Juchem claimed the tunnel will greatly alleviate traffic and train congestion.
Juchem told Euronews that commuters would benefit from a speedier and more dependable link between Denmark and Germany, which would save travel time and simplify daily life.
