‘Empty facility’: DOGE and HHS terminate $18 million agreement with Family Endeavours

San Antonio A local organisation has seen a significant contract expire as part of the federal government’s sweeping cutbacks as Trump’s second term gets underway.

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) announced on X (previously Twitter) that the Department of Health and Human Services.

Had cancelled a contract that paid Family Endeavours $18 million per month to run an abandoned facility in West Texas.

The company, also known as Endeavours, has a collection of buildings and shopfronts on De Zavala Road, where you may have seen its administrative offices and wellness centre.

Endeavours, a migrant family overflow housing facility in Pecos, Texas, was the subject of DOGE’s investigation.
