The case of the ‘British’ national who was caught in Ecuador and subsequently ‘lynched and burnt alive’ has been updated.
After entering one of the most hazardous and criminally active regions in the nation, the man was reportedly brutally killed by a mob.
Authorities have now verified that they did not step in because “the size of the mob exceeded the capacities of the seven police officers” there.
He was detained at a nearby police station before being dragged out of the premises in front of them.
On April 20, it happened in the Ecuadorian Amazonian parish of Playas de Cuyabeno.
