People in the area said that Hann shot Chavez. “There had been problems between the two men that died,” the chief of police stated on April 23.
He went on: “A local man was shot and killed by the man we think is British. “We are aware that he was working, teaching English, and booking accommodations for visitors to the region.
“But we don’t have any more information right now and that is the focus of ongoing investigations, which are seeking to determine his full name as well.”
“We are still trying to establish the specific identity of the citizen we believe is a British national,” the police chief continued.
“Even though we lack documentation proving his nationality, I say we’re assuming he’s English. We’re attempting to verify every detail, including his immigration status.
“We don’t have any proven information relating to how long he had been in this community.”
