According to Springfield Police Department spokesperson Ryan Walsh, officers and medical personnel pronounced the woman deceased at the site; the cause of death has not yet been determined by an autopsy.
Her passing makes her the third body found in the state of Massachusetts and the eighth in the area in the last two months.
