Human remains were found in a region of New England not far from Taylor Swift’s vacation house earlier this week.
Police verified to PEOPLE that suspected human remains were discovered in the upscale Watch Hill, Rhode Island, region near the singer’s residence.
On Wednesday, May 14, police arrived at the location on Everett Avenue at roughly 9:30 am and discovered “what appeared to be a human leg bone,” the news source notes.
In a statement the Westerly Police Department said: “Investigators are seeking official confirmation of the identify of the remains.
“There is not any foul play suspected right now.”
