Sammy was adored by all. “I won’t let this happen to any other families,” Teusch said, adding that despite having a hundred friends, he was harassed to his death by six to eight children.
Furthermore, we must teach the bullies themselves in addition to the children who are being harassed.
They require mental health treatment because, like the children in my son’s situation, they will become even worse bullies as adults if they are not held responsible.
Teusch, who lost his youngest son a year ago, recalls Sammy as a kind and intelligent youngster who loved fishing and was obsessed with soccer.
In order to have his son close to him at all times, dad got a tattoo of Sammy on his forearm to commemorate the tragic milestone.
To encourage him to keep fighting, he also keeps his son’s shattered glasses on display in a shadow box on the wall of his house.
“I can pick up those glasses and still see the world through Sammy’s eyes whenever I miss him,” Teusch remarked. We all really miss him. But we will transform the world in his name.
