Split rumors persisted since Lopez did not spend several summer vacations with her family and since she walked the Met Gala red carpet by herself in May, the same month she canceled her global tour “to be with her family.”
Since then, the couple has not celebrated their anniversary together and has been spending their summers on different coastlines.
But in recent months, the couple has apparently been attempting to reignite their romance as seen by the few times they have been sighted out together, all of which were with Affleck’s children in tow.
They also began demonstrating that they were wearing their symbols of commitment once more after going on multiple dates without their wedding rings.
On Affleck’s birthday, Lopez was even observed paying him a special visit at his Brentwood, California rental home.
They were seen going out together and even occasionally engaging in PDA multiple times, attempting to maintain the impression that they were reuniting despite constant allegations of marital discord. This is when the bombshell divorce filing occurred.
