Early in July, rumors circulated that Affleck had started packing up the last of his possessions from their joint residence and that they were starting the process of selling the $60 million mansion’s artwork.
The pair, with Affleck in Los Angeles and Lopez in the Hamptons, spent most of their summer and even the Fourth of July on different coasts in the weeks that followed.
It was said that their children were attempting behind the scenes to try to bring them back together before Lopez turned 55, despite the fact that they were separated by miles, both literally and metaphorically.
Their efforts would, however, appear to have been in vain when Lopez, on a July visit to the gym in the Hamptons, made a strong statement by substituting her own name for the ‘Ben’ necklace.
She did, however, continue to wear her wedding ring on that July 19 outing, and rumors circulated that the couple was quietly trying to revive their romance.
According to reports, the couple was composing love letters, which they planned to keep confidential as that was how their romance started.
