Famous Brazilian musician Sergio Mendes Has Died at the Age of 83

at 9:09 AM PT In a statement sent by Sergio Mendes’s family, it was revealed that his children and 54-year-wife Gracinha Leporace Mendes were there at his gentle death, according to TMZ.

Mendes has been battling long-term COVID, and they revealed that he hadn’t performed since November 2023. Funeral and memorial ceremony details will be announced

when the family works through their grief. Tragically, TMZ has learnt of the passing of Brazilian artist Sergio Mendes. L.A. was the site of his death.

Throughout his almost 60-year career, the Brazilian guitarist Mendes worked with jazz legends like as Herb Alpert and Cannonball Adderley, earning him global fame.

The song “Real in Rio” from the 2012 animated film “Rio” was nominated for an Oscar, and he won one Grammy
