Fans are moved to tears as Kat Timpf unexpectedly publishes a post-mastectomy picture.

In a February 28 video, she said, “This is obviously a really crazy difficult unexpected time.” She has expressed gratitude for the encouragement, but she has also been “overwhelmed” by her followers’ medical advice.

She referred to her doctor’s order for the double mastectomy by saying, “Trust me, there’s no one for whom that seems more extreme than me.” Regarding the procedure, she said,

“I find it devastating.” Timpf then gave her supporters the reassurance that she is getting first-rate medical treatment from a “team who are very knowledgeable on this.”
