First time Freddie Flintoff addresses the ‘life-changing’ Top Gear disaster

It won’t be long before we see Freddie Flintoff again—this summer, to be exact—on our television screens.

Field of Dreams, in which the cricket hero assembled a team in his native Preston, is returning, but this time it’s called Field of Dreams On Tour, and the players will be traveling to India.

Nevertheless, according to the program’s teaser, Flintoff will address the terrible accident he was in while shooting Top Gear, which led to the cancellation of the show.

Top Gear was famous for its daredevil presenters, who would often suffer injuries and, in some shocking instances, narrowly escape death over the course of the show’s many stunts.

Though Richard Hammond’s 2006 jet-powered automobile collision was a horrific event in and of itself, the most potentially fatal one in the show’s history came during Flintoff’s personal ordeal.
