“The circumstances and facts of this crime are beyond depraved,” stated Jim Ritts, the district attorney.
“This is the most serious homicide case our firm has ever handled. We are restricted in what we can provide because this is an ongoing investigation.
But what Sam went through shouldn’t ever have to happen to anyone.
Ritts added that the potential that Nordquist was singled out because of prejudice has not been ruled out by investigators.
“We will continue to work closely with law enforcement partners to ensure the investigation moves forward appropriately and that the family finds closure.”
The five suspects are being jailed at the Ontario County Jail without bond after being arraigned late Thursday.
