Additional footage captures students seeking shelter under desks in a classroom, while others are seen fleeing the FSU Tallahassee campus. In one clip, a young woman can be heard asking if everyone is alright.
Authorities have identified Ikner as the stepson of Leon County Sheriff’s Deputy Jessica Ikner. Officials say he had access to a handgun belonging to his mother, which he allegedly used during the event — along with a second firearm.
Law enforcement reports state that Ikner was involved in an incident that led to the loss of two lives — neither of whom were students — and left five others injured.
