According to several accounts, the son of former NBA player Gilbert Arenas has been put into an induced coma following a car accident that left his Tesla “mangled” by the side of the road.
ESPN’s Shams Charania was the first to report that 18-year-old Alijah Arenas was a part of the severe accident that occurred Thursday morning.
After the collision, Alijah’s Tesla Cybertruck was’mangled’ on the side of a residential road in Los Angeles, according to a later story from TMZ.
Emergency responders reportedly arrived to the scene at 4:55am, with the front of the car on fire.
The fire department had initially responded to a ‘trapped patient’ call, according to TMZ, though Alijah was said to be out of the vehicle when authorities arrived.
