Actor Bruce Willis has maintained a low profile ever since he was diagnosed with aphasia, a disorder that impairs communication.
Fans have been informed by his family, who have been transparent about his precise diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia. His daughter Rumer Willis said on social media,
“Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support, and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s original diagnosis.”

Bruce’s health has worsened since we revealed his aphasia diagnosis in the spring of 2022, and we now have a more precise diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia, or FTD.
