Following Katy Perry’s crisis negotiations to save her record, the comeback track “Woman’s World” explodes on the Billboard chart.

The allegation was affirmed by an appeals court in 2021 after a New York state judge ruled against Kesha in 2020, stating she had defamed her former producer.

Despite settling in 2023, music fans have been outspoken in their disapproval of any artist that chooses to collaborate with the hitmaker in the wake of Kesha’s accusations.

A number of Katy’s admirers have come to her defense, claiming that the singer was obligated to collaborate with Dr. Luke under contract. However, Katy has already said that she is not affiliated with the producer.

Katy stated during her 2018 deposition for Kesha’s lawsuit against Dr. Luke that her sole agreement with Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe Records was a three-album publishing arrangement, and that they were no longer legally bound to one other.

While Dr. Luke was fighting Kesha, she also knew how the public would react if she decided to work with him. She said that working with him right now would be “not received well” due to the litigation.
