Following the campaign’s unauthorized usage of her music, Beyoncé threatens Donald Trump with a cease-and-desist letter.

Rolling Stone claims that an insider source informed the publication that Beyoncé’s song “Freedom,” from her album Lemonade, was used by the Trump campaign in a social media video without authorization.

A 13-second video featuring Trump getting off a plane in Michigan featured the song. On Tuesday, August 20, campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung shared the video on Twitter.

Notably, Beyoncé’s song “Freedom” has been extensively used by Kamala Harris’ campaign in a variety of campaign materials, all with the singer’s consent.

The song was playing earlier this summer as Harris made her first public appearance following her endorsement by Joe Biden, walking out to a podium.

Her campaign soon afterwards unveiled an official launch video with the song as the soundtrack.
