In a tweet addressed to X, Biden said: “My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”
“As the 2020 party nominee, my first choice for vice president was Kamala Harris,” he went on to say. Plus, it’s the wisest choice I’ve ever taken.

I am writing to express my strong support of Kamala for our party’s nomination this year. Join together, Democrats; defeat Trump is within reach. How about we tackle this?
It goes without saying that Harris would make history if she were nominated and were to defeat Trump in the presidency.
Harris, 59, used social media the day before the election to express her support for the president, and Biden’s endorsement came only one day after that.
