In 2009 and 2010, when Mayer was 32 and Swift was 19, they dated for a short time. Many of the songs that the celebrity has penned—including “Speak Now,” “Dear John,” and a single on Mayer’s most recent extended edition, Midnights—are said to be about her.
If you haven’t heard it yet, the song is called “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve,” and it’s very brutal! The album’s overall success, nevertheless, is more important.
