“I was in pain, but there was no swelling, there was no bruising, my muscles were all just really tight – and it’s called guarding,” she told PA while discussing the discomfort she had after her injury.
“I basically partially decapitated myself, so my muscles were holding my head on while protecting the rest of my body.”
“I am still alive because I was going to the gym five or six times a week for almost two years prior.
According to the doctors, they wouldn’t be able to walk, move, or speak if my injuries had occurred to a normal person.
“When I finally saw a doctor, she said, ‘I’m surprised you’re not dead,’ as soon as I told her what had happened.”
