Becca had really only spent a few days in bed with painkillers, believing she had experienced whiplash, despite the possibly fatal accident.
However, if she hadn’t had strong shoulder and back muscles from years of gym training, the situation could have been far worse.
“They had to cut through all of my neck and back muscles after the second surgery, so the pain was actually the worst,” she continued.
Because I used to exercise weights, the surgeon remarked, “you’ve grown muscles where people don’t normally grow muscles, and that’s one of the main reasons everything else held on.”
Following a lengthy recuperation process that involved learning to walk and move again, she fell in love with running in January 2024.
