Four armed burglars kicked in the back door of a man who was at home with his girlfriend. In an attempt to defend his family, the victim’s dog, Zeus, immediately charged at the intruders and was shot.
The punks became aware of their huge error in the moments that followed, but it was too late to save themselves from the angry couple’s wrath.
They were more than willing to receive some compensation. On what ought to have been a quiet Monday night in Summerfield, Florida, a startling house invasion occurred.
Shawn Peterson, 35, has been named as the victim. He was at home with his girlfriend when he heard his back door being kicked open with a loud thud. The four suspects then stormed into the residence.
Although Peterson and his girlfriend locked the door and barricaded themselves in the bedroom, their brave pit dog, “Zeus,” charged in the direction of the assailants.
One of the three bullets that struck Zeus struck the 85-pound dog in the head. He’s a decent dog. Peterson remarked, “He never leaves my side.”
