Four teenagers were identified in the Marin County tragedy, and a solemn gathering attended the memorial.

California’s Fairfax As additional information about the weekend tragedy started to surface, a solemn throng gathered in Fairfax on Saturday night to grieve the loss of four adolescents who perished in a vehicle accident.

At a candlelight vigil, classmates, teachers, family members, and community officials honored the victims, who were all Archie Williams High School students in San Anselmo.

The California Highway Patrol said the four were females, all between the ages of 14 and 16. KTVU was informed by family members that they had been buddies since kindergarten.

“We have all come tonight to lean in to each other, to comfort each other,” First Presbyterian San Anselmo’s Rev. Scott Clark said.

Many held candles or laid flowers in remembrance as hundreds of people gathered together and stopped for a minute of quiet during the vigil.

“I’d want us to sit quietly for a while. However, it is a calm of connection rather than loneliness, according to Rev. Floyd Thompson of Marin City’s St.
