Awful Announcing, an X account (formerly Twitter) that published the video after the 32-year-old singer’s performance, has gone viral, with almost 700,000 views.
With the tagline “Interesting, to say the least…” Awful Announcing summed up the national anthem performed by four-time Grammy-nominated performer Ingrid Andress before to the 2024 Home Run Derby on ESPN.
A commenter on X said, “Horrible,” in reference to the video that showed Ingrid performing the national anthem a cappella at Globe Life Field stadium.
I don’t understand why a national anthem is required before to a home run derby. This whole thing is very bizarre.
