George Strait is inconsolable at the deaths of these two unique individuals.

Texas, native Elders has been a member of Strait’s Ace in the Hole band since 1984. He was the mandolin and violin player for Strait and had spent eleven years playing with Lyle Lovett’s Large Band.

A well-known manager in Nashville, Tennessee, Strait’s manager was also “most importantly my friend for even longer.”

Woolsey fought valiantly, but ultimately succumbed to complications after surgery, according to Strait’s tweet.

“He had surgical difficulties that he was unable to overcome. The singer writes, “He was a very tough man who fought hard, but sadly it was just too much.”

Fans of Strait sent their sympathies. It’s unbelievable. For so many years, providing us with amazing music—so many outstanding ones.

Considering you everyone 🙏🏻,” a fan commented. Another person said, “I really enjoyed hearing his fiddle playing during your songs.”
