South KCAL/KCBS, Los Angeles, California Authorities are looking into whether the hit-and-run accident that a 15-year-old California boy survived on his way home from school was an intentional act.

On April 7, 15-year-old Sebastian Carrillo was riding his bike home from school in South Los Angeles. His family’s life abruptly changed when he was only a few blocks away.

Eric Carrillo, Sebastian’s father, said, “There are no words to describe the feeling of seeing someone run your kid over.”

Sebastian was pedaling his bicycle on the sidewalk when he was struck by the driver of a 2025 black BMW, as seen on security camera footage from a neighboring restaurant.

Unexpectedly, the car veered, sped over the curb, and collided with the youngster.
