The father said it is intolerable to watch his son suffer. Thinking about how and why someone could do this has kept him awake for days.
“I believe it was some sort of hate crime. It just seems so terrible to me that it’s too deliberate. They ran over the curb and got a flat tire. It’s simply depressing,” Carrillo remarked.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident is being looked into as a potential intentional act.
Carrillo said he wants the BMW driver to be held responsible and to provide answers.
“Just come forward and give CHP a call, or call CHP anonymously if you know anything, like if it was your neighbor or something.” Any assistance? He declared, “I want justice for my son.”
