Gwen Stefani acknowledges that the secret to happiness in her marriage to Blake Shelton is having a “third party” involved.

When asked what the “best advice she’s ever received on love” was during a recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, she responded.

“Best advice would probably be, make sure you have a third party,” before pointing to the sky.

For years, Stefani has been outspoken about her faith; during the holidays, she even promoted the Catholic prayer app Hallow.

She also talked more about her husband’s home situation during the conversation. “We have two couches, and I have the dogs right here. “We’re like, ‘Hi,’ and Blake’s on that couch,” the singer clarified.

“I would sit next to him but he’s gigantic and we don’t fit anywhere.” Shelton appears to have assumed a significant role as stepfather to Stefani’s three sons from a prior marriage.
