Eventually, surveillance footage captured Hannah walking alone across the U.S.-Mexico border, where she reportedly spoke with Customs and Border Protection agents and showed no signs of distress.
With that confirmation, LAPD closed the missing persons case, and her family released a statement through an attorney:
