When she saw Khan behaving “aggressively” four days later, she would know for sure whether or not it was the right choice.
Given Khan’s past and the negative perception of Dobermans as dangerous dogs, Catherine closely monitored their new puppy when he was near her 17-month-old daughter, Charlotte.
Catherine saw Khan behaving violently when the kid was playing in the yard outside their house in the Australian city of Cairns in only four days.
At first, it was just a little prod, but soon Khan was flinging Charlotte around like a rag doll. Catherine remembered that Khan was behaving aggressively and paying close attention to Charlotte.
She tried to prod her repeatedly, but it didn’t work. Then, as she watched in horror, the Australian family’s situation seemed to deteriorate.
“So, like she was a rag doll, he took her by the back of the diaper and threw her over his shoulder more than a meter,” Catherine said.
