She clarified that while she and her mother had “always been really close,” they had never really discussed sex or that aspect of their life.
“Therefore, I had no choice,” Cox said. I explained everything to my poor, ashamed mother. However, it was very beneficial because she said, “I understand, I get it,” after that.
“And in the years since then, we’ve had some really healthy and forward-thinking conversations as well as some really interesting ones.”
Cox went on to say that she is “extremely proud” of her mother’s progress and that she has “cautiously” said that she is also proud of her daughter.
