He was initially reported missing to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office that afternoon by a school employee. Edwards also reported him missing a few hours later. Cloud, however, didn’t.
Cloud informed detectives that he had never returned home the previous evening, in accordance with search warrants issued at Bonnell’s expansive estate.
The court filings, however, state that this ran counter to both the fact that his car was in the driveway and the mobile phone evidence used in the prosecution.
