Hours after Donald Trump’s overwhelming victory, Kamala Harris eventually concedes the race.

And he accomplished it by a wide margin. Instead of being a nail-biter, the election turned out to be a red tsunami.

Trump received 71.2 million votes to Harris’ 66.4 million, certainly winning both the electoral college and the popular vote.

In 2020, Biden had more votes overall than Harris, which is telling. Their ticket received 81 million votes that year.

Trump may become the first Republican president to win the popular vote since George W. Bush, but the results are still being counted.

While control of the House is still up for debate, Republicans also took control of the Senate. Trump, 78, will surpass Joe Biden’s record by five months and become the oldest president ever to be sworn in.

When he appeared on stage with his family in front of his adoring fans on election night, he said, “I think this was the greatest political movement of all time.”
